15 Women-Led Design Brands to Support (Read: Shop!) Today
On International Women's Day, which comes but once a year, the internet is suddenly dense with praise and thanks for all the women who make it go 'round. Moms, grandmothers, mentors, best friends, cofounders, and inspiring professionals—so many are called out. But in the design world, which is depressingly known for its lack of gender diversity, it's not quite enough to just say "Hey, thanks!" The easiest and perhaps best way to support female-led design brands is to shop from them. Tell the world about them, yes, but also bring their wares into your home and your friends' homes. Gift them. Collect them. Here's a shopping list for 15 women-led design brands we love in particular, some makers themselves and some shops that lead us to even more great finds.
