ACCOUNT MANAGER

Position Description:

SIN is seeking a talented and proactive Account Manager, who loves the challenge of rapidly scaling a small business, to lead all wholesale and trade efforts for the brand. The right candidate will be a self-starter with natural sense for business, who loves strategizing around account growth and sales channel optimization. We are looking for a candidate who excels at interfacing with current and potential accounts and a keen ability to build incredible relationships while meeting strategic sales benchmarks. The desire to be part of a small but growing team and ability to work both collaboratively and independently are vital to success in the role. 

The right candidate possesses a robust portfolio of industry contacts, strong communication skills and comfort in brand presentations, an outgoing and engaging personality, keen attention to detail, and a passion for idea sharing, accountability, and collaboration with team members in a fast-paced environment. A desire to problem solve, find new sales channels, and deepen existing business relationships.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Account management

  • + Create brand sales strategy by channel (wholesale, drop-ship, DTC, trade, special projects)
  • + Maintain inbound inquiries, manage current accounts across all domestic and international sales channels and lead all outbound sales outreach to pinpoint ways to penetrate new markets, while establishing direct relationships with a diverse range of independent and key accounts
  • + Consistent outbound phone, email, in-person sales meetings and business reviews with buying teams, executives, and potential brand ambassadors on behalf of SIN
  • + Partner with retailers to support their purchasing plans, inventory management, and promotional needs, including idea generation, presentation creation, order processing and paperwork execution, and top-tier logistics management
  • + Track all activity in CRM for successful account management and pipeline development.
  • + Manage and update company database and customer relationship management in CRM
  • + Provide monthly report of sales success and communicate VOC data to Head of Ops
  • + Continual new account acquisition and outreach of 75-100 potential new accounts per month. 

 

Account logistics

  • + Work collaboratively with Design team to plan trade shows, pop-up sales, special events
  • + Work collaboratively with Design team to ensure key dates are being met in product development to ensure organized and strategic growth of the collection regarding product launches
  • + Manage backend operations of all sales and EDI platforms including Shopify, SPS, OpenText and internally created platforms
  • + Liaise across departments regarding production and fulfillment flow 

 

Customer Service

  • + Manage customer service inbox and maintain customer relationships and brand integrity across all DTC, WS, and Dropship channels 
  • + Collect and analyze data regarding customer feedback and shipping logistics and present to Head of Ops monthly

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in account coordination/management 
  • Proficiency in Google Suite 
  • Proficiency in Streak or other CRM software 
  • Proficiency in SPSCommerce and Opentext EDI platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Extremely organized and attentive to details 
  • Preferred: 1+ years experience working in manufacturing or design related account coordination/management 
  • Preferred: 1+ years experience working in sales/customer facing position  

 

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Reports to: Head of Operations

Salary: $58,500-$65,000

CERAMIC KILN TECHNICIAN

Position Description:
SIN is seeking a full-time Ceramic Kiln Technician who enjoys and excels at working in a creative environment, is detailed oriented and deadline focused. The Ceramic Kiln Technician will prepare and run daily kilns, manage weekly reporting requirements, problem solve any troubleshooting errors with glazes and QC product. The ideal candidate is someone who finds enjoyment in the technical side of ceramics and partaking in the transformation of the product. This is a perfect position for a creative problem-solver, with technical kiln knowledge, seeking to make an impact at a growing small business. No prior kiln operating experience is required.

Responsibilities:
+ Prepare and run daily kilns (Hi Fire and Bisque)
- Sanding
- Glazing
- Loading and Unloading 
- Quality Control
+ Ability to foresee and troubleshoot any technical issues in regards to the kiln, product, glaze, etc.
+ Prepare weekly kiln schedule
+ Improve / optimize the kiln load to ensure space efficiency. 
+ Track, manage and report accurate daily numbers.
+ Wire lighting
+ Create, maintain and improve standard kiln procedures for the department.
+ Make weekly glaze batches
+ Detail oriented, confident in basic arithmetic, strong communication skills.

Requirements:
+ Collaborative working style; thrive in a team working environment.
+ Knowledge of Kiln and Glazing process: Hand building or wiring knowledge is a plus.
+ Must enjoy physical work along with ability to stand 2-3 hours at a time.
+ Must be able to lift large fragile items in and out of kilns, up to 25 lbs. at a time.
+ Must be able to handle very delicate greenware.
+ Strong hand and finger dexterity.
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
+ Experience with Google Suite is a plus.
+ Self-reliant, can quickly grasp new concepts and ask the right questions in the face of ambiguity.
+ Excellent problem-solver with a “get it done” attitude.
+ Adaptable, willing to take on new challenges and changes that come with a growing small business.


Salary:
+ Full-time only
+ $18-$21 Hourly
